Admitted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Mason! Students who have already received notice of their acceptance to Mason should visit the Newly Admitted Students page in order to view their all of their next steps for enrollment at Mason. Here, we will go over just a few of the most important of these recommended steps.

For Undergraduate Students:

The first step after being accepted is to submit an enrollment deposit. It is only once a deposit has been processed that an applicant will be considered an enrolled student with full access to university services.. Please allow 3-5 business days for your status to reflect this update. Once enrolled, your next step will be to register for Orientation.

Orientation is an important (and mandatory) step for all undergraduate students encompassing vital functions such as academic advising and registration. For incoming transfer students, the Office of Admissions will attempt to complete your transfer credit evaluation based on the date of the orientation that you have registered for. For Graduate Students:

After receiving your admissions decision, you should respond with your enrollment decision directly within your Self-Service Center. You are not officially a student of the university until you have completed this step. After submitting your intent to enroll, submit your final (official) transcripts as soon as possible to the Office of Graduate Admissions so that you can avoid any registration holds on your account. Setting up your PatriotWeb and MasonLive Email Accounts:

It is recommended that you set up your PatriotWeb self-service account and your MasonLive email account in advance of your Orientation session and the start of class registration. This can be done by visiting the Patriot Pass Password Management page.

Everything up until Orientation can be completed entirely online; however, if you have questions or issues, we can also walk you through some of the processes in-person.
