To apply to graduate from Mason you’ll need to follow the steps below.
Note: Be sure to read instructions and information related to applying for graduation. Before applying be sure to:
Check your Degree Evaluation
Please verify that you have met all program requirements by checking your degree evaluation on PatriotWeb. (For help with this, please see How to Perform a What-If Analysis). The Registrar’s Office will conduct a final review after all grades are posted. If there are any outstanding requirements at that time, you will not graduate.
Applying to graduate makes you ineligible to register for semesters following your intended graduation unless you are pursuing a different degree program (e.g. students graduating from a Master’s program but continuing to work on a PhD will not be blocked from future registrations).
Withdrawing your Application
If you decide to delay your graduation to a future term, you must contact the Registrar’s Office to withdraw your graduation application.
Participation in the Commencement Ceremony does not mean you graduated. Only after successful completion of all course work and all other requirements will you graduate and receive your diploma.
